If you are using two subwoofers that have a combined total of 500 watts of continuous power handling, buy a 2-channel car amplifier that delivers at least 500 watts of continuous power output in bridged, mono operation mode. If you decide to buy an amplifier that’s more powerful, simply turn the gain control knob on the amplifier down. This will ensure you don’t overpower your subwoofers.
