A lot of people that like online casinos have paid for a roulette system only to find that it doesn’t work. Today what I’m going to try and do is cover up exactly why roulette systems don’t work.

Roulette has a house edge that is built into the layout of the game. It doesn’t matter what you bet on, how much you bet or what kind of betting pattern you use, the house edge is ever present with roulette and there’s no way to overcome it.

That is enough to cause most roulette systems to fail. However the house edge is not often the cause of roulette systems failing, it’s because most systems play against a players odds.

The most common system that fails without the intervention of the house edge is the martingale where you double your bets each time you lose. It is common to get a few wins with the system and this creates the illusion that it works but it doesn’t. The problem with it is that it only takes a few losses to take away your entire bankroll.

This is the difference between the martingale system and the house edge. When losing to the house edge it happens slowly over time but with the martingale you will lose everything in seconds. I should also mention that you never win more than one unit with the martingale, even when you lose 10 times and have ti bet thousands per spin your end profit will still only be one unit should you win.

Roulette systems also fail because they are often based on past results. The theory behind these kinds of systems is that you should bet on a part of the table when it’s slept for a few spins. This doesn’t work, especially with real roulette wheels because the wheel has no memory.

Now with online roulette you can potentially use past results to predict future spins because at the end of the day it’s a software program. You will have to know how the program works to use the past to predict the future and not many people have knowledge of this, it would take a lot of research. These reasons are why most roulette systems will fail whether you’re playing roulette online or if it’s a real wheel.

This is going to be about whether or not a roulette system can work. Ever since the invention of the game people have been trying to devise a long term system to win at roulette but most people end up failing. The reason that most roulette systems fail is because of the house edge. The house edge is caused by the green slots, otherwise known as the zeros. The house edge for European roulette is 2.56% and it is difficult to overcome this edge. The way that many players try to overcome this edge is by using what is called a progressive roulette strategy. With this kind of system you increase your bets after every loss until you get a win which will cover all previous losses. This has led to the bankruptcy of many people. When you use a progressive roulette strategy you always hit a losing run sooner or later and it’s very hard to except the loss and walk away. Most people place bets beyond what they can afford to try and cover previous losses. Another common roulette strategy that is only applicable to land based roulette is wheel bias. This is when you study a roulette wheel to see if some numbers show up more than others. If you find a bias in a wheel you use flat bets on the most popular sections of the board. Bias Systems are also unreliable. The reason for this is because some numbers will show up more than others short term and to inexperienced players this creates the illusion that there is a bias when there isn’t. A modern roulette wheel is very well made and there is almost zero bias to be found from it. This is what leads to the failure of most bias roulette systems. It is very difficult to device a roulette system that works. The large house edge coupled with the perfection of modern roulette wheels is the reason for most roulette systems failing.
